Walking With Spring

This tutorial was written by me on April 16, 2010 using PSP 9.  All my tutorials assume you have some working knowledge of PSP and/or Animation Shop.

Supplies:

Scrap Kit (Includes Poser) - I'm using Sweet Indulgence's portion of Underground Scraps' "Thunderstorm" store collab.  You can purchase this kit here.

Tubes of choice if not using Posers

Template - I'm using one from Kylie which you can download at Creative Misfits Creations.  Just look for the Spring Challenge temps.

Font of choice

Open mask in PSP and minimize

1.  Open your template - image - canvas size - 750 x 700 white background

2.  On the Mask Layer - choose a color from your kit & make a note of the Hue & Saturation - adjust - hue& saturation - colorize - replace with your settings - duplicate - merge down - Repeat colorization with the Word Art layer

3.  On Circle-bg - selections - select all - copy/paste Paper 1 as new layer - selections - invert - delete - select none - delete original layer - copy/paste Element 3 as new layer - resize - arrange on blue paper layer - duplicate as many times as you want and arrange to look like the sky 

4.  On Circle yellow - selections - select all - copy/paste Paper 2 as new layer - selections - invert - delete - repeat for Circle black using Paper 7 - add an inner bevel of your choice to this layer - delete original layers

5.  Copy/paste Poser 1 ( or your main tube if using other) as new layer - resize if needed - dropshadow

6.  Using 2 colors from your kit create a gradient with the following settings - angle 45, linear, repeats 3 - on Squares bg - selections - select all - float - defloat - new raster layer - floodfill with gradient - leave selected - copy/paste your poser ( or tube) as new layer - resize - position in left square - selections - invert - delete - repeat for other 2 squares using a different poser/tube each time - selections - select none -dropshadow your poser/tube layers

7.  On Squares frame layer - selections - select all - float - defloat - copy/paste Paper 2 as new layer - selections - invert - delete - add inner bevel of choice - dropshadow - delete original layer

8.  On Eyelets - selections - select all - float - defloat - new raster layer - floodfill with color from kit - selections - select none - change properties to overlay - merge down - dropshadow

9.  On Ribbon & Clusters flowers layers - using a color from kit - colorize following the steps that you used for the mask layer - dropshadow

10.  Copy/paste elements of choice as new layers - resize - position around your tag - dropshadow each layer 

11.  Close background layer - crop/resize tag to your preference - add copyright/license information & name - save as .png.
