Tut: Ice Cream Dream

Ice Cream Dream

This tutorial was written by me on April 17 , 2010 using PSP 9.  All my tutorials assume you have some working knowledge of PSP and/or Animation Shop.

Supplies:

Tube of choice - I'm using the great art of PinUpToons.  Do not use without a license.  You can purchase this tube and a license at CILM.

Scrap Kit - I'm using Candies Treasures portion of the "Candy Shoppe" collab from Enchanted Dreams Boutique.  You can purchase this great kit here.

Heart preset shape of choice

Mask and Font of choice

To begin open tube and mask in PSP - minimize for now

1.  New image 700 X 700 white background - copy/paste Paper 4 as new layer - layers - new mask layer from image - find mask in dropdown - apply - merge group

2.  Choose 2 colors from the kit using the lighter color for your stroke - find your preset shape and holding shift key drag out your heart - objects - align - center in canvas - convert to raster - apply an inner bevel of choice - adjust - add/remove noise - add noise 100% uniform monochrome checked - dropshadow

3.  Choose 3 of the heart dangle frames - resize 2 the same and leave one just a bit larger - copy/paste as new layers - position on canvas (See my tag for reference) - using your magic wand tool click on the white frame - new layer - using a color from one of the other frame floodfill - selections select none - merge down to frame - repeat this for each frame using different color - now, using your selection tool draw around the frame opening - copy/paste Paper 12 as new layer - selections - invert - delete - repeat for the other 2 frames

4.  Back on left frame paper layer - selections - select all - float - defloat - copy/paste tube as new layer - selections - invert - delete - selections -select none - duplicate - image - mirror - position in the right frame - dropshadow tube layers and those frames

5. For your center frame copy/paste your tube once more - duplicate - move bottom tube below frame layer - erase any part hanging below frame - on top tube layer erase any parts you don't want showing - dropshadow bottom tube layer and this frame

6.  Choose 3 flowers from kit - resize each one differently and copy/paste as new layers - arrange on your tag - I made mine in an angled line moving up across the tag ( See mine for reference) - merge flower layers together - dropshadow

7.  Close background layer - crop/resize tag to your preference - add copyright/license information and name -dropshadow name - save as .png
That's it!!  Thank you for trying my tutorial!!!

Hello! I'm a SAHM of 2 beautiful children Wyatt & Caitlyn and have been married to my wonderful husband Everett for 9 years. I live in a small town in NW Florida and am owned by several miniature dachshunds. I've been PSPing for 7 years now and just now decided to put my tags into tutorial form. When I'm not busy taking care of my various animals which not only is dachshunds, but includes various types of fowl and poultry I am playing with my kids or at my computer.
