Tut: She's A Brat




















She's A Brat

This tutorial was written by me on April 27, 2010 using PSP 9.  All my tutorials assume you have some working knowledge of PSP and/or Animation Shop.

Supplies:

Tube of choice - I'm using the great art of Elias Chatzoudis.  You can purchase his tubes/license at MyPSPTubes.

Scrap Kit - I'm using a great new PTU kit from Missy of Scraps With Attitude.  Visit her blog to find out where you can purchase this awesome kit.

Template - I'm using Template 107 from Yvette at Essence of Creativity.  Visit her blog here to download.

Mask of choice 

Font - I'm using Brody which you can get from here.

To begin open mask, tube, and template in PSP - minimize mask and tube

1.  On your template - canvas size 700 x 700 - on background layer - floodfill white - close out copyright, brush, and text layers

2.  On glittered circle layer - selections - select all - float - defloat - copy/paste Paper 16 as new layer -resize - selections - invert - delete - selections - select none - delete original layer - dropshadow - Repeat for glittered rectangle layer using same paper

3.  On pink circle layer - click with magic wand - copy/paste another paper as new layer - selections - invert - delete - selections - select none - delete original layer - dropshadow - repeat for other layers using different paper each time

4.  Back on your first circle paper layer - selections - select all - float - defloat - copy/paste your tube as new layer - resize - selections - invert -delete - select none - duplicate tube - on top layer - adjust - blur - gaussian 3 - change properties to soft light - on bottom tube layer change properties to Luminance (L)

5.  Click on the next circle layer - copy/paste Staple Flower of choice as new layer -resize - I colorized mine to match my tube - position - dropshadow

6.  Highlight your second rectangle layer - selections - select all - float - defloat - copy/paste your tube again as new layer -resize - selections - invert - delete - select none - repeat Step 4 for the tube layer 

7.  Highlight your last rectangle layer - repeat step 6 as above

8.  Copy/paste your tube again as new layer - resize - position on tag - dropshadow

9.  Copy/paste Diary of choice as new layer -resize - position on tag - rotating if desired - dropshadow

10.  Copy/paste camera as new layer - resize - position on tag - dropshadow

11.  Copy/paste marker of choice as new layer -resize - position on tag - dropshadow

12.  Click on background layer - Copy/paste curly ribbon as new layer - resize - position towards the top of tag - duplicate - image - mirror - image - flip - position -dropshadow both layers 

12.  On background layer - copy/paste Wire as new layer - resize if needed - position - dropshadow

13.  Back on background layer - copy/paste another paper of choice - layers - new mask layer - from image - find mask - okay - merge group

14.  Close off white background - crop/resize tag as desired - add copyright/license and name - save as .png
