Tut: She's A RockStar

She's A RockStar

This tutorial was written by me on May 7, 2010 using PSP 9.  All my tutorials assume you have some working knowledge of PSP and/or Animation Shop.

Supplies:

Tube of choice - I'm using the art of Michael Landefeld.  You can purchase tubes/license at CILM.

Scrap Kit - I'm using a great PTU kit from 3 Ps in a Pod Designs called "Girly Rock".  You can purchase this kit here.

Template - I'm using Template 114 from Yvette at Essence of Creativity.  You can download from here blog here.

Mask of choice - I'm using MusicMask2 by Jenny which you can download from Creative Misfits Creations.

Font of choice - I'm using Linkin Park which you can get from here.

To begin open up mask, template, and tube in PSP - minimize your mask and tube

1.  On your template - image - canvas size 750 x 650 - floodfill Raster 1 with white

2.  On white glitter circles layer - selections - select all - float - defloat - c/p paper from kit - selections - invert - delete - select none - change properties to overlay - merge down

3.  On blue circles - click with magic wand - c/p another paper as new layer - selections - invert - delete - select none - effects - texture effects - blinds with settings:  6, 44, color red, both boxes checked - repeat except uncheck horizontal - delete original layer

4.  On large white circle - click with magic wand - c/p another paper as new layer - selections - invert - delete - select none - delete original layer - repeat for other layers using different papers leaving the text layer as is - close out copyright layer

5.  Click on your small circles layer - c/p element 60 in color of choice as new layer - rotate - position over top left circle - duplicate - image - mirror - image - flip - position - dropshadow both layers

6.  Click on stars layer - c/p element 55 as new layer - rotate - position towards the left side of template - dropshadow

7.  C/P element 41 in color of choice as new layer - image - mirror - resize - position towards the right side of template - with magic wand click inside the white area of element - c/p a paper of choice as new layer - invert - delete - select none

8.  C/P Element 59 as new layer choosing just the guitar and rock layers in colors of choice - resize - rotate - position on your previous element ( see my tag for reference) - dropshadow

9.  C/P your tube as new layer - resize if needed - position - dropshadow

10.  On background layer - c/p another paper as new layer - apply your mask - merge group

11.  Close of white background - crop/resize tag to your preference - add copyright/license and name - save as .png

That's it!!  Thank you for trying my tutorial!!

Hello! I'm a SAHM of 2 beautiful children Wyatt & Caitlyn and have been married to my wonderful husband Everett for 9 years. I live in a small town in NW Florida and am owned by several miniature dachshunds. I've been PSPing for 7 years now and just now decided to put my tags into tutorial form. When I'm not busy taking care of my various animals which not only is dachshunds, but includes various types of fowl and poultry I am playing with my kids or at my computer.
