PTU TUT : It's A Tagger Thing

It's A Tagger Thing

This tutorial was written by me on August 15 using PSP X4.  All my tutorials assume you have some working knowledge of PSP and/or Animation Shop.

Supplies:

Tube of choice : I'm using the ever amazing art of Elias Chatzoudis.  You can purchase his tubes and a license at his store Elias Art Shop.

Scrap Kit of choice:  I'm using a great PTU kit from Lexi Creations called "PSP Junkie".  Visit her blog HERE to find out where to purchase this kit.

Font(s) of Choice:  I'm using Reklame Script Regular for name & Peas Ruth for lettering on PostIt element

Eye Candy 4000 gradient glow * optional * : you can get the same effect from drop shadow

To begin open up your tube in PSP - minimize - new image - 700 x 700 white background

1.  On your new image copy/paste Frame 1 as new layer - resize to your preference - with magic wand click inside frame - selections - modify - expand by 8 - copy/paste Paper 12 as new layer - selections - invert - delete - copy/paste Sparkles 2 as new layer - position over paper - delete - copy/paste tube as new layer - move above frame layer - using eraser tool erase the part of tube showing below frame opening - selections - select none - drop shadow tube and frame layers

2.  Click on frame layer - copy/paste Flower curtain as new layer - resize - position on frame at the top right corner - drop shadow - copy/paste Toolbar as new layer - position on left side of frame - do not drop shadow

3.  Copy/paste Flower 1 as new layer - resize - position on bottom right of frame - drop shadow - move above tube layer

4.  Copy/paste PostIt as new layer - resize and move to bottom left of frame - using a font of your choice ( I used Peas Ruth) write out wording of choice ( I created a To Do List) - depending on your font you may have to create each line of text as separate layers - when happy - close out all layers except your PostIt and wording layers - merge visible - drop shadow - open other layers

5.  Copy/paste Pencil and USB as new layers - resize - position on tag - drop shadow both layers

6.  Copy/paste Wordart1 as new layer - resize - position on tag - add a gradient glow or drop shadow of choice to this layer - copy/paste Sparkles1 as a new layer - resize and position on bottom of tag

7.  Close out white background and merge visible - open white background - duplicate your merged layer 2x and move them below original layer, but above white background - on bottom duplicate - image - free rotate 20 left - repeat for other duplicate but rotate right - merge these 2 layers together - adjust - blur - gaussian blur - 10

8.  Close out white background - crop - merged opaque - resize tag if needed ( I resize mine to 625 pixels on longest side) - add copyright/license information and name - save as .png

That's it!  Hope you enjoyed my tutorial.

Hello! I'm a SAHM of 2 beautiful children Wyatt & Caitlyn and have been married to my wonderful husband Everett for 9 years. I live in a small town in NW Florida and am owned by several miniature dachshunds. I've been PSPing for 7 years now and just now decided to put my tags into tutorial form. When I'm not busy taking care of my various animals which not only is dachshunds, but includes various types of fowl and poultry I am playing with my kids or at my computer.
