Cocktail Hour

This tutorial was written by me on August 10 using PSP X4.  All my tutorials assume you have some working knowledge of PSP and/or Animation Shop.

Supplies:

Tube of choice - I'm using the ever fabulous art of Elias Chatzoudis.  You must have a license to use his art and you can purchase his tubes and license from his new store here.

Scrap Kit of choice - I'm using the newest PTU kit from Coyotie Designs called Bad Romance.  Visit her blog here to find out where you can get this great kit and her other fabulous scraps.

Template 159 from Tamie @ addictive pleasures.  You can get this template at her blog here.

Mask of choice - I'm using Aphrodisiac #4 from Vanessa at Creative Chick.  You can download this mask here.

Font of choice - I'm using Aphrodite Pro

Eye Candy 4000 gradient glow

To begin open up template - shift+d to duplicate - close original - delete copyright and word art layers - open tube and mask - minimize for now

1.  We are gonna be working from the bottom up on template - click on raster 10 - selections - select all - float - defloat - c/p paper of choice - selections - invert - delete - repeat for rasters 5,4,3,both 12 layers, and 6 - drop shadow each layer

2.  On raster 11 - selections - select all - float - defloat - c/p paper of choice - selections - invert - delete - c/p tube as new layer - resize if wanted - position - hit delete - selections - deselect - duplicate tube layer - on original layer - adjust - blur - gausian blur - 5 - on duplicate layer change properties to Luminance (L) - merge down

3.  On raster 2 repeat step 1 - on raster 9 - select - float - defloat - c/p paper of choice - invert - delete - effects - textures - blinds - adjust settings to your preference - color from your kit - c/p tube as new layer - position - delete - deselect - change properties to soft light

4.  On raster 8 - select - float - defloat - c/p paper of choice - invert - delete - effects - textures - weave - settings to your preference - color from your kit - c/p tube as new layer - mirror - position - delete - deselect - change properties to hard light

5.  On layers 7 and copy of 7 - adjust - add/remove noise - settings your preference 

6.  C/P elements of choice as new layers - resizing as needed - position around your tag - drop shadow each element and your template and tube layers

7.  C/P tube again - position on tag - drop shadow

8.  On background layer - c/p paper of choice as new layer - layers - new mask layer - from image - delete mask - merge group 

9.  Close background - crop/resize tag - add copyright/license information and name - save as .png
