Tut: Orange Crush





















Orange Crush

This tutorial was written by me on April 18, 2010 using PSP 9.  All my tutorials assume you have some working knowledge of PSP and/or Animation Shop.

Supplies:

Tube of choice - I'm using the art of Elias Chatzoudis.  Do not use without a license.  You can purchase his tubes/license at MyPSPTubes.

Scrap kit - I'm using Dark Moon's Dream portion of the "Candy Shoppe" store collab from Enchanted Dreams Boutique.  You can purchase this kit here.

Mask & Font of choice

To begin open tube in PSP and minimize for now.

1.  New image 700 x 700 white 

2.  Copy/paste Frame 1 as new layer - resize - image - rotate - 90 left - position towards the top of canvas - with magic wand click inside frame - selections - modify - expand by 5 - copy/paste Paper 1 as new layer - selections - invert - delete - move below frame layer - effects - texture effects - weave - with the following settings: 1, 9, 1, weave and gap color white - copy/paste one of your tubes as new layer - position in frame - delete - dropshadow - change properties to Luminance(L) drop opacity to 75 - dropshadow frame

3.  Copy/paste Strawberry as new layer - resize 40% - rotate right 15 - position on bottom right corner of frame - dropshadow - duplicate - resize 85% - rotate 30 left - position

4. Copy/paste Lollipop 1 as new layer - resize 30% - rotate left 10 - duplicate - image - mirror - position both lollipops along the right side of frame - dropshadow both layers

5.  Copy/paste Flower 5 as new layer - resize 30% - dropshadow - position on top left corner of frame -duplicate 2x and position along the left side of frame

6.  Copy/paste your main tube image as new layer - position - dropshadow

7.  On white background layer - copy/paste Doodle as new layer - rotate left 90 - move to the left side of tag with a bit showing above frame - duplicate - image - mirror - image - flip - dropshadow

8.  On white background again - copy/paste Paper 2 as new layer - layers - new mask layer from image - find your mask - okay - merge group - resize mask by 85% - using deform tool stretch it out a bit on sides
9.  Close background layer - crop/resize tag to your preference - add copyright/license number and name - save as .png

Tut: Retro Candy





















Retro Candy

This tutorial was written by me on April 18, 2010 using PSP 9.  All my tutorials assume you have some working knowledge of PSP and/or Animation Shop.

Supplies:

Tube of choice - I'm using the art of Joel Adams.  Do not use without a license.  You can purchase his tubes/license at CILM.

Scrap kit - I'm using C.C. Creationz portion of the "Candy Shoppe" store collab from Enchanted Dreams Boutique.  You can purchase this great kit here.

Template - I'm using Template 89 from Blissfully Beth.  You can download from her blog.

Mask - I'm using CM Mask 1 from Vicky.  You can download this mask from Creative Misfits Creations under the Diamond Masks challenge.

Font of choice - I'm using Bellbottom Laser which you can download from here.
To begin open your tube and mask in PSP and minimize for now

1.  Open up template - delete copyright, stalker wordart, and background layer - new raster layer - floodfill white - send to bottom - image - canvas size - 750 X 750

2.  Highlight large square background layer and with magic wand click inside - copy/paste Image 4 from kit as new layer - selections - invert - delete - select none - delete original layer

3.  Highlight large square frame and click with magic wand - copy/paste Image 6 as new layer - selections - invert - delete - select none - delete original layer 

4.  Highlight Frame 2 background - click with magic wand and copy/paste Image 1 as new layer - selections - invert - delete - selections - select none - delete original layer


5.  Highlight Frame 2 - click with magic wand - new raster layer - on color pallet change top color to #fdfb06 - Floodfill raster with color - selections - select none - delete original layer - dropshadow frame - REPEAT for Frame 1 background and Frame using the same Paper and Color

6.  Highlight Bottom horizontal line - click with magic wand - copy/paste Image 3 as new layer - resize 65% - selections - invert - delete - adjust - sharpness - sharpen - adjust - sharpness - sharpen more -  dropshadow - delete original layer - repeat for Top horizontal line 

7.  Highlight Colored circle layers - using magic wand click inside each circle and copy/paste Papers of choice or floodfill with colors from kit ( your choice) - dropshadow - delete original layer - merge your circle layers together - arrange on your tag where you want

8.  Copy/paste Lollipops of choice as new layers - resize 50% - position over right side Frame - arrange - dropshadow each layer - with selection tool outline the bottoms of the lollipops that are hanging over the frame - delete

9.  Copy/paste Pinwheel as new layer - resize 40% - position over left side Frame - dropshadow - duplicate - resize a touch smaller - arrange - duplicate again - arrange - with selection tool outline the bottoms of the pinwheels that are hanging below the frame - delete

10.  Copy/paste Butterflies of choice - resize - image - mirror - arrange over circles - dropshadow

11.  Copy/paste Bow of choice as new layer - resize - position on bottom of right side frame - duplicate - image - mirror - position on bottom of left frame - dropshadow both layers

12.  Back on white background layer - copy/paste Image 4 as new layer - layers - new mask layer - from image - find your mask - okay - merge group - using deform tool stretch and pull the mask to fit neatly around your tag

13.  Close out background layer - crop/resize tag to your preference - add copyright/license information and name - save as .png

This tutorial was written by me on April 18, 2010 using PSP 9.  All my tutorials assume you have some working knowledge of PSP and/or Animation Shop.
Supplies:

4 Tubes of choice - I'm using the beautiful ladies of Ismael Rac.  Do not use without a license.  You can purchase his tubes and a license at Artistic Minds.

Scrap Kit - I'm using Kreative Designs by Karen's portion of the "Candy Shoppe" store collab from Enchanted Designs Boutique.  You can purchase this beautiful kit here.

Mask - I'm using Floral 3 mask from Vicky.  You can download this mask from Creative Misfits Creations.

Font of choice

Filters : Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow

To begin open up your tubes and mask in PSP - minimize for now

1.  Open up a new image 700 X 700 transparent background - copy/paste Embellishment 16 as new layer - resize - choose 3 of your tubes and copy/paste each one as new layer - resize if needed - dropshadow each tube layer - position one tube over each heart mirroring or rotating as needed - highlight your Embellishment layer and with magic wand tool click inside first heart - selections - invert - delete on tube layer - selections - select none - repeat for the other 2 hearts and tubes - now duplicate your tube layers - on the duplicate layers adjust blur gaussian blur 3, change properties to soft light - on original tube layers - change properties to Luminance(L) - when happy merge visible - add a fat gradient glow color yellow - with magic wand click inside the gradient glow - adjust - add/remove noise - add noise gaussian uniform checked 100% - minimize for the moment

2.  Open up another new image same size but with a white background - copy/paste Paper 5 as new layer - layers - new mask layer from image - okay - merge group

3.  Copy/paste Frame 1 as new layer - resize - click inside frame with magic wand - selections - modify - expand by 5 - copy/paste Paper 5 as new layer - selections - invert - delete - dropshadow frame

4.  Copy/paste Embellishment 8 as new layer - resize - move below frame layer - position in corner of paper layer ( see my tag) - dropshadow

5.  Copy/paste Embellishment 3 as new layer - resize - move above frame layer and position in the corner of frame - dropshadow

6.  Copy/paste your main tube as new layer - resize - position in frame and dropshadow - with selection tool drag box around bottom part of tube that is hanging below frame opening - delete

7.  Copy/paste Embellishments 5 and 17 as new layers -resize - dropshadow - rotate one a bit to the right and the other a bit to the left - position over the bottom right corner of tag

8.  Copy/paste Embellishment 6 as new layer - resize - position on the bottom of frame - duplicate - move duplicate layer over and align with other layer - repeat - merge these layers together - dropshadow

9.  Copy/paste Embellishment 11 as new layer - resize - position on the right side of frame and rotate left 20 - dropshadow

10.  Maximize your merged heart image that you did earlier - copy/paste as new layer - resize and position on the bottom right corner of frame - dropshadow

11.  Close white background - crop/resize tag to your preference - add copyright/license information and name - save as .png

Tut: I Want Candy






















I Want Candy

This tutorial was written by me on April 17 , 2010 using PSP 9.  All my tutorials assume you have some working knowledge of PSP and/or Animation Shop.

Supplies:
Tube of choice - I'm using the awesome work of Elias Chatzoudis.  Do not use this image without a license.  You can purchase his tubes/license at MyPSPTubes.
 
Scrap kit - I'm using Jen's Sweet Temptations portion of the Enchanted Dreams Boutique's new store collab " Candy Shoppe".  You can purchase this great collab here.

Mask & Font of choice - I'm using Monti's Blinds Mask 1 and font Action Is Shaded

To begin open Mask & Tube in PSP - minimize for now

1.  Open new image 700 X 700 white background - copy/paste Paper 4 as new layer - layers - new mask layer from image - find mask in dropdown - okay - merge group

2.  Copy/paste Frame 3 as new layer - resize up 125% - with magic wand click inside frame - copy/paste Paper 10 as new layer - resize down - selections - invert - delete

3.  Copy/paste tube as new layer - duplicate - move bottom tube below frame layer - erase any part hanging below frame - on top tube layer - erase any parts you don't want showing - dropshadow frame layer and bottom tube layer

4.  Copy/paste candy elements and candy stick elements of choice - resize - position on bottom corner of frame - dropshadow each layer

5.  Copy/paste cupcake of choice - resize - position on tag - dropshadow - copy/paste Bow 3 as new layer - resize - positon on top of cupcake - dropshadow

6.  Close background layer - crop/resize tag to your preference - add copyright/license information & name

7.  On name layer - selections - select all - float -defloat - modify - expand by 5 - new raster layer - floodfill with a color from tag - selections -select none - drop below name layer - dropshadow

Tut: Ice Cream Dream





















Ice Cream Dream

This tutorial was written by me on April 17 , 2010 using PSP 9.  All my tutorials assume you have some working knowledge of PSP and/or Animation Shop.

Supplies:

Tube of choice - I'm using the great art of PinUpToons.  Do not use without a license.  You can purchase this tube and a license at CILM.

Scrap Kit - I'm using Candies Treasures portion of the "Candy Shoppe" collab from Enchanted Dreams Boutique.  You can purchase this great kit here.

Heart preset shape of choice

Mask and Font of choice

To begin open tube and mask in PSP - minimize for now

1.  New image 700 X 700 white background - copy/paste Paper 4 as new layer - layers - new mask layer from image - find mask in dropdown - apply - merge group

2.  Choose 2 colors from the kit using the lighter color for your stroke - find your preset shape and holding shift key drag out your heart - objects - align - center in canvas - convert to raster - apply an inner bevel of choice - adjust - add/remove noise - add noise 100% uniform monochrome checked - dropshadow

3.  Choose 3 of the heart dangle frames - resize 2 the same and leave one just a bit larger - copy/paste as new layers - position on canvas (See my tag for reference) - using your magic wand tool click on the white frame - new layer - using a color from one of the other frame floodfill - selections select none - merge down to frame - repeat this for each frame using different color - now, using your selection tool draw around the frame opening - copy/paste Paper 12 as new layer - selections - invert - delete - repeat for the other 2 frames 

4.  Back on left frame paper layer - selections - select all - float - defloat - copy/paste tube as new layer - selections - invert - delete - selections -select none - duplicate - image - mirror - position in the right frame - dropshadow tube layers and those frames

5. For your center frame copy/paste your tube once more - duplicate - move bottom tube below frame layer - erase any part hanging below frame - on top tube layer erase any parts you don't want showing - dropshadow bottom tube layer and this frame

6.  Choose 3 flowers from kit - resize each one differently and copy/paste as new layers - arrange on your tag - I made mine in an angled line moving up across the tag ( See mine for reference) - merge flower layers together - dropshadow

7.  Close background layer - crop/resize tag to your preference - add copyright/license information and name -dropshadow name - save as .png

Candy Shoppe Lollipop

This tutorial was written by me on April 17, 2010 using PSP 9.  All my tutorials assume you have some working knowledge of PSP and/or Animation Shop.

Scrap kit - I'm using Brandy of Brandies Eye Candies portion of the Enchanted Dreams Boutique's new store collab " Candy Shoppe".  You can purchase this great collab here.

Font of choice - I'm using Candy Store BV which you can download here.

Filters - Xero Fritillary

1.  Open a new image 700 X 700 white - copy/paste Frame 1 as new layer - resize - click inside frame openings - copy/paste Paper 9 as new layer - selections - invert - delete - leave selected - copy/paste your tube as new layer - position the part you want showing in the left frame - delete - repeat for the other 2 frames using different parts of tube - selections - select none -dropshadow tube and frame layers

2.  Copy/paste Bow 5 as new layer - resize - position over left heart on frame rotating just a bit - duplicate - image - mirror - position on other heart - dropshadow both bow layers - merge down onto frame

3.  With your color dropper tool choose 2 colors from your kit pallet - preset shape circle, line width 8 - holding down shift key drag out a circle ( see my tag for size) - convert to raster layer - move to just above your white background layer 

4.  With your magic wand tool click inside the circle you just made - effects - Xero Fritillary with these settings:





















5.  With your magic wand tool again click on the outline of your circle - selections - promote selection to layer - deselect - apply an inner bevel to this - dropshadow

6.  Copy/paste your tube again - resize if needed - position over your circle - dropshadow - erase any bits that maybe peeking out from behind the square frames

7.  Copy/paste Wrap 1 as new layer - resize - rotate just a bit - using your eraser tool erase any part that are past the circle - dropshadow

8.  Back on White Background layer - copy/paste Flower 2 as new layer - position on tag (See mine for reference) - duplicate - position this layer - dropshadow both layers

9.  On Background again - copy/paste Doodle 2 as new layer - resize - position towards the top of tag - duplicate - image - mirror - image - flip - with magic wand click inside the purple of doodle holding down shift key so you get every bit - adjust - add/remove noise - add noise 75% uniform monochrome checked - deselect - dropshadow

10.  Close background layer - layers - merge - merge visible - duplicate your merged layer and on the bottom layer - adjust - blur - gaussian blur 25 - effects - texture effects - mosaic antique default settings - add noise settings from above

11.  Crop/resize tag to your preference - add copyright/license information and name adding an inner bevel to the name - save as .png

Tut: April Showers






















April Showers

This tutorial was written by me on April 16, 2010 using PSP 9.  All my tutorials assume you have some working knowledge of PSP and/or Animation Shop.

Supplies

Tube of choice - I'm using the adorable work of Suzanne Woolcott.  Do not use without a license.  You can purchase her tubes and license here at Gorjuss Art.

Scrap kit - I'm using Shades of Gina's portion of Underground Scraps' "Thunderstorm" collab.  You can purchase this kit here.

Mask & Font of choice

This is an easy simple tut so let's get started!  Open your mask & tube in PSP and minimize.

1.  Open a new image 700 x 700 white - open Cloud 2 and using your dropper tool choose a darker color from the element - new raster layer - floodfill with color - layers - new mask layer - from image - find your mask - ok - merge group - copy/paste Cloud 2 as new layer - position - duplicate - image - mirror - position - dropshadow both cloud layers

2.  Copy/paste Fence 2 as new layer - resize - position towards the bottom of tag - dropshadow

3.  Using your picutre tube tool - find the lawn tube in your dropdown box ( yours maybe different) - new raster layer - apply tube - duplicate as many times as needed to give the appearance of grass in front of fence ( move fence up if needed - see my tag for reference) - when happy close out all layers, but your grass tube layers - merge visible - open all layers up again

4.  Copy/paste your tube as new layer - resize - position - dropshadow - on cloud layers - move above the fence layer

5.  Close out background layer - crop/resize tag to your preference - add copyright/license information & name - save as .png.

That's it!!  Easy Peasy!!  Thank you for trying my tutorial!!!
