New PTU Tut



Bella's Love

This tutorial was written by me on August 8 using PSP X4.  All my tutorials assume you have some working knowledge of PSP and/or Animation Shop.

Supplies:

Twilight tube of choice - I'm using a beautiful FTU tube from Zindy Nielsen.  You can get the tube/license here.

Scrap Kit of Choice - I'm using a gorgeous PTU kit from Tamie at Addictive Pleasures.  You can purchase this kit here.

Mask of Choice - I'm using mask 81 from weescotslass which you can get here.

Twilight Word Art of Choice

Font of Choice - I'm using Twilight New Moon which can be found here.


To begin open your tube and mask in PSP - minimize for now

1.  New image 700 x 700 white background - c/p frame as new layer - image - resize by 85% twice - image - free rotate 90 left

2.  With magic wand click inside frame - selections - modify - expand by 2 - leave selected

3.  C/P paper 3 as new layer - selections - invert - delete - move layer below frame - leave selected

4. C/P tube as new layer - arrange to your liking - delete - selections - select none

5.  C/P roses as a new layer - do not resize - position on the right of frame - duplicate - mirror - using eraser tool remove the parts you see hanging below frame ( see my tag) - merge these 2 layers together

6.  C/P piano keys as a new layer - resize by 70% - position on bottom of frame - c/p sheet music 2 - resize 40% - position on bottom of tag to the left of piano keys - c/p candles 2 - resize - position behind sheet music

7.  C/P key 2 - mirror - resize and position to the top right of frame - c/p keyhole - resize and rotate - position on right side of piano keys - c/p feather - resize and rotate - position below piano keys - c/p moon - resize and position above white background

8.  C/P glitter above white background - position - duplicate - mirror - c/p paper of choice - move above white background, but below glitter - layers - new mask from image - delete mask - merge group - position - duplicate - mirror - merge down

9.  Here you can add a phrase of choice - I chose "You're my own brand of heroin" - add dropshadow to all layers

10. Close whitebackground - crop/resize tag - add copyright, license info and name - save as .png.

Tut: Eternity






















Eternity

This tutorial was written by me on May 25 using PSP 9.  All my tutorials assume you have some working knowledge of PSP and/or Animation Shop.

Supplies:

Tube of choice:  I'm using a beautiful image from Katarina Koukiotis.  You can get this image and a license at Dreamscape Imaging.

Scrap Kit - I'm using Broken Sky's portion of the "Eclipse"  store collab from Underground Scraps.  You can purchase this kit here.

Mask of choice
Font of choice - I'm using Mon Amour Script Pro

Music note brushes of choice

To begin open tube and mask in PSP - minimize for now

1.  New image 700 x 700 white background - c/p Paper of choice as new layer - apply mask - merge group

2.  C/P Frame 3 as new layer - resize - click inside with magic wand - selections - modify - expand by 6 - c/p Paper 1 as new layer - selections - invert - delete - move below frame layer - c/p pianostairs as new layer - resize - position to the right of paper layer - delete - open drapery element - image - mirror - c/p as new layer on tag - position to the left of paper layer - delete - selections - select none - dropshadow frame, stairs, and drapery.

3.  C/P Sparkles 2 as new layer - resize if desired - position over frame - dropshadow

4.  New raster layer - apply music note brush - position over frame - change opacity to around 56

5.  C/P Frame 2 as new layer - resize - position to the bottom right of 1st frame - click inside with magic wand - selections - modify - expand by 5 - c/p Paper 7 as new layer - selections - invert - delete - move below frame layer - c/p tube as new layer - resize - delete - select none - dropshadow frame layer and tube

6.  C/P piano as new layer - resize - position on tag - dropshadow - c/p light element as new layer - position

7.  Close off white background layer - crop/resize tag - add copyright/license and name - save as .png

Wolf Within

This tutorial was written by me on May 24, 2010 using PSP 9.  All my tutorials assume you have some working knowledge of PSP and/or Animation Shop.

Supplies:

Tube of choice - I'm using the art of Eugene Rzhevskii.  You can purchase tubes/license at MyPSPTubes.

Scrap Kit - I'm using AriaSparkle's portion of the "Eclipse" store collab from Underground Scraps.  You can get this kit here.

Template - I'm using Template #47 from Sara's Scraps.  Visit her blog to download.

Mask of choice

Font of choice - I'm using Wolf's Bane Pro

Mura Meister - Clouds
Fairy Dust Brushes of choice

To begin open tube and mask in PSP - minimize for now

1.  Open template - shiftd to duplicate - close original - image - canvas size - 750 X 750 - new raster layer - flood fill white - send to bottom

2. On rectangle 1 - click with magic wand - c/p Paper 2 as new layer - selections - invert - delete - effects - mura meister clouds - default - new raster layer - apply brush of choice - select none

3.  C/P wolf of choice from kit - resize - image - mirror - position on brush layer - highlight paper layer - selections - select all - float - defloat - click on wolf layer - delete - select none - dropshadow wolf - delete original rectangle layer - add a gradient glow to paper layer - with magic wand - click on gradient - add/remove noise - add noise 100%

4.  On circle layer - click with magic wand - c/p paper 1 as new layer - invert - delete - select none - add gradient glow - add same noise effect as above - dropshadow - delete original layer

5.  On rectangles 2 & 3 - click with magic wand - c/p Paper 3 as new layer - selections - invert - delete - repeat gradient glow and noise effect - dropshadow - delete original layers

6.  On frame background layer - click with magic wand - c/p Paper 2 as new layer - selections - invert - delete - apply clouds filter as above - c/p moon of choice as new layer - resize - position - delete - c/p wolf of choice - resize - delete - c/p your tube as new layer - resize - delete - select none - dropshadow moon, tube, and wolf - on wolf tube change properties to luminance(L) - delete original layer

7.  On Frame layer - click with magic wand - c/p Paper 3 as new layer - selections - invert - delete - select none - add same gradient and noise filter - dropshadow - delete original layer

8.  C/P flower element of choice - resize - rotate - position on top left corner of frame - duplicate - image - mirror - position on bottom right corner of frame - dropshadow both layers

9.  On white background - c/p paper of choice - apply mask - merge group - close out white background - crop/resize tag - add copyright/license and name - save as .png

Tut : My Brand of Heroin






















My Brand of Heroin

This tutorial was written by me on May 24, 2010 using PSP 9.  All my tutorials assume you have some working knowledge of PSP and/or Animation Shop.

Supplies:

Tube of choice - I'm using a beautiful FTU tube from Zindy Nielsen.  You can get the tube/license here.

Scrap Kit - I'm using Angel's Designz portion of the "Eclipse" store collab from Underground Scraps.  You can purchase this great kit here.

Mask of choice

Font of choice - I'm using a font called "Twilight"

To begin open tube and mask in PSP - minimize for now

1.  New image 700 x 700 white background - c/p Frame 1 as new layer - resize - image - rotate - 90 left - click inside frame with magic wand - c/p Paper 2 as new layer - selections - invert - delete - move below frame - c/p your tube as new layer - delete - select none - dropshadow tube and frame

2.  C/P Flower 4 as new layer - resize - position on bottom right corner of frame - dropshadow 

3. C/P Lock as new layer - resize - rotate - position on left side of frame - using eraser tool erase a bit of the lock so it appears to be hooked to frame ( see my tag) - dropshadow - C/P wire element 3 as new layer - resize - position on tag - dropshadow

4.  C/P Key as new layer - resize & rotate - position over lock - dropshadow

5.  C/P Feathers as new layer - resize & rotate - position on top of frame - duplicate - image - mirror - dropshadow both layers

6.  C/P Leaves as new layer - resize & rotate - position in top center of frame - duplicate - image - mirror - position next to other leaves - merge together - position - dropshadow

7.  C/P Flower 3 as new layer - resize - position over leaves on center top of frame ( see my tag) - dropshadow

8.  On white background layer - c/p Paper of choice as new layer - apply mask - merge group - c/p Mesh as new layer - position over mask layer - dropshadow

9.  Close white background layer - crop/resize tag - add copyright/license info and name - save as .png

Tut: You Are My Life -Twilight


















You Are My Life

This tutorial was written by me on April 29, 2010.  All my tutorials assume you have some working knowledge of PSP and/or Animation Shop.

Supplies:

Tube of choice - I'm using a beautiful image from Katarina Koukiotis.  You can get this image and a license at Dreamscape Imaging.

Scrap Kit - I'm using a great PTU kit from Sweet Indulgence called "Twilight Love".  You can get this awesome kit here. (This kit is currently unavailable, but you can use any Twilight Themed kit you want.)

Template - I'm using Template 34 from Pooker's Creations.  You can download from her blog here.

Twilight Brushes of choice

Mask of choice
Font of choice - I'm using Mon Amour Script which you can get from here. (Sorry, it is a PTU font)

Filters - Eye Candy 4000 gradient glow

To begin open tube, mask, and template in PSP - minimize mask and tube

1.  On template - ShiftD to duplicate - close original and close off copyright layer 

2.  Highlight Rectangle layer - click with magic wand - copy/paste Paper 6 as new layer - selections - invert - delete - select none - add a fat gradient glow with these settings: Basic Tab 6, 100, 100 - color settings as below:

















- delete original layer

3.  Highlight Circle 3 and merge down until your circles are one layer - click each one with magic wand - copy/paste Paper 1 as new layer - resize paper 80% - selections - invert - delete - select none - add same glow as above - dropshadow - delete original layer

4.  Merge your strip layers together - click with magic wand - copy/paste Paper 8 as new layer - selections - invert - delete - select none - delete original layer - effects - texture effects - blinds with these settings:





















5.  On Rectangle 1 - click with magic wand - copy/paste Paper 7 as new layer - selections - invert - delete - select none - new raster layer - apply Twilight Brushes of choice - delete original layer

6.  On Rectangle 2 - click with magic wand - copy/paste Paper 2 as new layer - selections - invert - delete - copy/paste your tube as new layer - resize - position - delete - select none - dropshadow tube layer - add glow to paper layer - dropshadow

7.  Add any elements that you would like adding a dropshadow to each layer 

8.  On background layer - copy/paste another paper of choice - apply your mask - merge group

9.  Close white background - crop/resize tag - add copyright/license information and name - save as .png
