2 Hott 2 Handle

This tutorial was written by me on May 11, 2010 using PSP 9. All my tutorials assume you have some working knowledge of PSP and/or Animation Shop.

Supplies:

Tube of choice - I'm using the art of Ismael Rac.  You can purchase his tubes/license at Artistic Minds.

Scrap Kit - I'm using a great PTU kit from Missy of Scraps w/ Attitude called "Dark Secrets".  Visit her blog to find out where you can purchase this kit.

Template - I'm using Template CMXC3T2 from Aiya of JuicyBits.  You can download this template at Creative Misfits Creations.  ( Click on templates on the right side of blog and go back a couple of pages and scroll down.)

Mask of choice

Font of choice -  I'm using Neon Derthaw which you can get from here. ( Sorry it is PTU)

To begin open tube, mask, and template in PSP - minimize your tube and mask

1.  On template - ShiftD to duplicate - close original - image - canvas size 700 x 700 - delete the following layers :  delete layer, all 4 splatter layers, paper 1 goth stars, both bracket layers , goth star layer - close off copyright layer

2.  New raster layer - floodfill white - send to bottom - c/p Paper of choice as new layer - apply your mask - merge group

3.  On circle layer - click with magic wand - c/p paper of choice as new layer - selections - invert - delete - dropshadow - delete original layer - repeat for other layers using a different paper each time

4.  On your photoback layer - selections - select all - float - defloat - c/p your closeup as new layer - position in frame - selections - invert - delete - select none - dropshadow tube

5.  Highlight your photo frame layer - c/p Bow 2 as new layer - resize - rotate - position on the top right corner of frame - dropshadow - c/p Pin 1 as new layer - resize - rotate - position over bow - with eraser tool erase a bit of the pin so that it appears to be pinned to bow - dropshadow - c/p Dangling Heart 1 as new layer - resize - dropshadow - move below pin layer & position so it appears to be dangling from pin ( see my tag)

6.  C/P curly ribbon 1 as new layer - resize - rotate left 90 - position on left side of template - dropshadow

7.  C/P word tape of choice as new layer - resize - rotate - position on left top of template - dropshadow

8.  C/P your main tube as new layer - resize if needed - position on tag - dropshadow

9.  On mask layer - c/p Hearts 1 as new layer - position - duplicate - image - mirror - image - flip

10.  Close white background layer - crop/resize tag to your preference - add copyright/license and name - save as .png

Rock 'n' Roll Attitude




















Rock 'n' Roll Attitude

This tutorial was written by me on May 8, 2010 using PSP 9.  All my tutorials assume you have some working knowledge of PSP and/or Animation Shop.

Supplies:

Tube of choice - I'm using the awesome art of Ismael Rac.  You can purchase his tubes/license at Artistic Minds.
Scrap Kit - I'm using a great PTU kit from Broken Sky Dezine called "Rocker Passion".  You can purchase this great kit here.

Template - I'm using a collab Template from Kylie and Kristin which you can download here at Creative Misfits.

Mask of choice - I'm using WSL Mask 221 from Chelle at Weescotslass Creations.  You can download from her blog here.

Font of choice - I'm using RoadRage which you can get from here. ( Sorry it is PTU)

Filters - Tramages Tow The Line

To begin open mask, tube and template in PSP - minimize your mask and tube

1.  On Template - image - canvas size 750 x 700 - floodfill background with white - close off copyright layer

2.  On Splat Layer - choose a color from your tube or kit - selections - select all - float - defloat - new raster layer - floodfill with color - select none - adjust - add/remove noise - add noise 100% gaussian - delete original layer - dropshadow

3.  On SCircle 1 layer - selections - select all - float - defloat - c/p paper of choice as new layer - selections - invert - delete - select none - delete original layer - dropshadow - repeat for your other layers - on the tramages rectangle layer - apply your tramages Tow The Line filter on your paper layer - play with the settings until you get something you like

4.  Highlight your top circle frame layer - c/p Stars element - image - mirror - resize if desired - position on right side of template - dropshadow

5.  C/P your tube as new layer - position over circle layers ( see my tag ) - dropshadow - with eraser tool very carefully any part that is hanging below your circle layers 

6.  Highlight your star back layer - selections - select all - float - defloat - c/p your tube again as new layer - resize - position - selections - invert - delete - dropshadow

7.  C/P drumset as new layer - resize - position on tag - dropshadow - bring to top

8.  C/P brad of choice as new layer - position on tag - dropshadow 

9.  On background layer - c/p paper of choice as new layer - apply mask - merge group - c/p a different paper as new layer - apply mask again - merge group - image - flip - merge both layers together

10. C/P chainlink as new layer - position towards the top left of tag - duplicate - image - mirror - image - flip

11.  Close of white background - crop/resize tag to your preference - add copyright/license and name - save as .png.

Tut: After The Rain


















After The Rain

This tutorial was written by me on May 8, 2010 using PSP 9.  All my tutorials assume you have some working knowledge of PSP and/or Animation Shop.

Supplies:

Tube of choice - I'm using the art of Selena Fenech.  She is no longer with CILM, but you can use any tube you wish.  See the list of licensing companies on the right side of this blog.

Scrap Kit - I'm using a beautiful PTU kit from AW Designs called "After The Rain".  You can purchase this kit here.

Mask of choice - I'm using WSL Mask 79 from Chelle at Weescotslass Creations.  You can download from her blog here.

Font of choice - I'm using Taggettes Plus which you can get from here.

To begin open mask and tube in PSP and minimize for now.

1.  Open Frame 2 in PSP - ShiftD to duplicate - close original - image - resize 85% all layers unchecked - new raster layer - floodfill with white move to bottom - c/p paper of choice as new layer - apply mask - merge group

2.  With magic wand click outside of the frame - c/p Paper 16 as new layer - delete - move below frame layer - select none - on your paper layer use eraser tool to erase around the outer edge of frame - dropshadow frame

3.  C/P tall grass as new layer - move below frame - erase any parts showing outside of frame - dropshadow

4.  C/P Cloud 1 as new layer - move below frame - resize - position - duplicate - image - mirror - position - dropshadow both layers 

5.  C/P rainbow as new layer - rotate - move below frame layer and original cloud layer, but above duplicate cloud layer - dropshadow

6.  C/P your tube as new layer - position - resize if needed - duplicate - move duplicate layer below frame - using eraser tool erase any parts showing below frame - on top tube layer - erase any parts you don't want showing outside of frame - dropshadow bottom tube only

7.  Highlight frame layer - c/p element 14 as new layer - rotate - resize if needed - position across the top of frame - duplicate - image - flip - dropshadow both layers

8.  C/P dragonfly as new layer - resize - rotate - position on left side of frame - duplicate - image - mirror - position on right side of frame - dropshadow both layers

9.  Close white background layer - crop/resize tag to your preference - add copyright/license and name - save as .png.

She's A RockStar

This tutorial was written by me on May 7, 2010 using PSP 9.  All my tutorials assume you have some working knowledge of PSP and/or Animation Shop.

Supplies:

Tube of choice - I'm using the art of Michael Landefeld.  You can purchase tubes/license at CILM.

Scrap Kit - I'm using a great PTU kit from 3 Ps in a Pod Designs called "Girly Rock".  You can purchase this kit here.

Template - I'm using Template 114 from Yvette at Essence of Creativity.  You can download from here blog here.

Mask of choice - I'm using MusicMask2 by Jenny which you can download from Creative Misfits Creations.

Font of choice - I'm using Linkin Park which you can get from here.

To begin open up mask, template, and tube in PSP - minimize your mask and tube

1.  On your template - image - canvas size 750 x 650 - floodfill Raster 1 with white

2.  On white glitter circles layer - selections - select all - float - defloat - c/p paper from kit - selections - invert - delete - select none - change properties to overlay - merge down

3.  On blue circles - click with magic wand - c/p another paper as new layer - selections - invert - delete - select none - effects - texture effects - blinds with settings:  6, 44, color red, both boxes checked - repeat except uncheck horizontal - delete original layer

4.  On large white circle - click with magic wand - c/p another paper as new layer - selections - invert - delete - select none - delete original layer - repeat for other layers using different papers leaving the text layer as is - close out copyright layer

5.  Click on your small circles layer - c/p element 60 in color of choice as new layer - rotate - position over top left circle - duplicate - image - mirror - image - flip - position - dropshadow both layers

6.  Click on stars layer - c/p element 55 as new layer - rotate - position towards the left side of template - dropshadow

7.  C/P element 41 in color of choice as new layer - image - mirror - resize - position towards the right side of template - with magic wand click inside the white area of element - c/p a paper of choice as new layer - invert - delete - select none 

8.  C/P Element 59 as new layer choosing just the guitar and rock layers in colors of choice - resize - rotate - position on your previous element ( see my tag for reference) - dropshadow

9.  C/P your tube as new layer - resize if needed - position - dropshadow

10.  On background layer - c/p another paper as new layer - apply your mask - merge group

11.  Close of white background - crop/resize tag to your preference - add copyright/license and name - save as .png

Tut: Enchanting Butterfly


















Enchanting Butterfly

This tutorial was written by me on May 6, 2010 using PSP 9.  All my tutorials assume you have some working knowledge of PSP and/or Animation Shop.

Supplies:

Tube of choice - I'm using the beautiful art of Elias Chatzoudis.  You can purchase his tubes/license from MyPSPTubes.

Scrap Kit - I'm using a beautiful PTU kit from Wacky Winnie Designz called "Summer Splash".  You can purchase this great kit here.

Template - I'm using Oval Template 2 from Tina.  You can download this template from Creative Misfits Creations.

Font of choice - I'm using Ponytail which you can find here.

My Supplies (includes mask and butterfly animation)

To begin unzip the supplies - open mask, tube, and template in PSP - minimize mask and tube - open up butterfly animation in Animation Shop and minimize for now

Open Template in PSP - ShiftD to duplicate - close original - image - canvas size 750 x 750 - new raster layer - floodfill white - send to bottom

1.  On oval layer - click with magic wand - copy/paste paper of choice as new layer - selections - invert - delete - select none - delete original layer - repeat for other template layers using a different paper each time

2.  On your rectangle paper layer - selections - select all - float - defloat - copy/paste your tube as new layer - resize if needed - position towards the right side of rectangle - selections - invert - delete - select none - duplicate - image - mirror - position - merge tube layers together - dropshadow - duplicate - on top layer - adjust - blur - gaussian 3 - change properties to soft light - on bottom tube layer - change properties to Luminance(L) - merge together - change opacity to around 42

3.  Click on oval paper layer - c/p Fan 2 as new layer - resize - rotate if needed - position towards the top right corner of oval - duplicate - image - mirror - image - flip - position - dropshadow both layers

4.  C/P flower string of choice - resize - position on top of frame layer - duplicate - image - flip - position across the bottom of frame - dropshadow both layers

5.  C/P flower spray of choice - resize - position on bottom corner of frame - duplicate - image - mirror - dropshadow both layers

6.  C/P envelope of choice - resize - rotate - position towards the top left of tag - dropshadow - c/p binder clip of choice - resize - rotate - position on top of the envelope - dropshadow

7.  C/P your tube as new layer - position on tag - dropshadow

8.  On background layer - c/p another paper of choice - apply mask - merge group - resize mask and stretch to fit around the tag (see mine for reference)

9.  Close out white background - crop/resize tag - add copyright/license and name - if not animating save as .png - if animating continue with the below steps:

Animation:

1.  Open white background layer - copy merge - paste as new animation in Animation Shop

2.  hold CNTRL + L and duplicate your tag for a total of 18 frames - edit - select all 

3.  Maximize your butterfly animation - edit - select all - edit - copy - on tag - edit - paste into selected frame - position where you want - repeat - play your animation and if happy save as .gif

This tutorial was written by me on May 4, 2010 using PSP 9.  All my tutorials assume you have some working knowledge of PSP and/or Animation Shop.

Font of choice - I'm using Bickley Script LET which you can purchase here.

To begin open mask and tube in PSP - minimize - new image - 700 x 700 white background, Resolution 72

1. C/P Cluster frames as new layer - resize - with magic wand click inside each frame opening - selections - modify - expand by 5 - C/P Paper 3 as new layer - selections - invert - delete - dropshadow frame

2.  C/P Ivy Red as new layer - resize - image - flip - rotate - position on right side of frame - duplicate - image - mirror - position on left side of frame - dropshadow both layers

3.  C/P Merlotte's Bar Sign as new layer - resize - rotate - position on the top left of frame - dropshadow

4.  C/P Eric's Pendant Necklace as new layer - resize - position over the arrow on the sign - with eraser tool erase a bit of the necklace so it appears to be draped over the arrow - dropshadow

5.  C/P String Heart as new layer - resize - position on the top right corner of frame - dropshadow

6.  C/P Clock as new layer - resize - position over the string heart - dropshadow

7.  C/P Tombstone as new layer - resize - position on bottom left corner of frame - dropshadow

8.  C/P Roses as new layer - resize - position on the bottom of tombstone - dropshadow

9.  C/P candles of choice as new layer - resize each one differently - position in a cluster on the bottom right corner of frame - dropshadow each layer

10. C/P your tube as new layer - resize - position in the center of frame - dropshadow

11.  On white background layer - C/P paper of choice - apply your mask - merge group - C/P Black Glitter as new layer - position - C/P RedBeads as new layer - position towards the top left of tag - duplicate - image - mirror - image - flip

12.  Close out white background layer - crop/resize tag - add copyright/license and name - save as .png

Tut: Walk With Me






















Walk With Me

This tutorial was written by me on May 3, 2010 using PSP 9.  All my tutorials assume you have some working knowledge of PSP and/or Animation Shop.

Supplies:

Tube of choice - I'm using the beautiful art of Anna Marine.  You can purchase her tubes/license at Creative Minds.

Scrap Kit - I'm using a great PTU kit from Mystee of Intoxxikated Intentionz called "True Blood".  You can purchase this kit here.

Mask of choice

Font of choice - I'm using Morpheus which you can get from here.

To begin open up mask and tube in PSP and minimize for now - new image 700 x 700 white background
1.  With your preset tool , oval, line style barb wire, size 4, fill null, foreground a color from kit, draw out an oval ( see my tag for size) - objects - align - center in canvas - convert to raster - add an inner bevel of choice

2.  With magic wand click inside oval - selections - modify - expand by 4 - c/p Paper 25 as new layer - resize by 20% - selections - invert - delete - move below frame layer - leave selected

3.  C/P your tube as new layer - position in oval - delete - leave selected

4.  C/P element 29 as new layer - position towards bottom of oval - delete - select none - move element and tube below oval layer - dropshadow tube, element, and frame

5.  C/P element 31 as new layer - resize - position on right side of oval - duplicate - resize again - position on top of other flower - dropshadow both layers - merge together - duplicate - image - flip - position ( see my tag)

6.  C/P element 38 as new layer - resize - position on the top left of oval - dropshadow

7.  C/P element 16 as new layer - resize - rotate left 90 - position on left side of oval - duplicate - image - mirror - resize again - position - dropshadow both layers

8.  C/P element 3 as new layer - resize - position on bottom left of oval - dropshadow

9.  C/P element 15 as new layer - resize - position on bottom left of oval - dropshadow

10.  Add phrase or wording of choice - I used Moon Dance 2 and Morpheus font for my wording and the phrase comes from Season 2 of  True Blood - you can google True Blood quotes to find one

11.  On white background - c/p element 18 as new layer - position towards the top left of tag - duplicate - image - mirror - image - flip - dropshadow both layers

12.  C/P glitter 2 as new layer - position towards the top right of tag - duplicate - image - mirror - image flip

13.  Back on white background - c/p paper of choice - resize 20% - apply your mask - merge group - repeat using different paper - merge these 2 mask layers together - duplicate - image mirror - merge together

14.  Close off white background - crop/resize tag to your preference - add copyright/license information and name - save as .png.
